Terms of Use

The ground rules for using GymGuide.ai — written to be read, not skimmed past. By using the site you agree to them.

Last updated October 2026

1.Using GymGuide

GymGuide.ai (“GymGuide”, “we”, “us”) helps you build a training plan, find a gym or trainer, and — in the Community — share your training with other members. These terms apply to the whole site, including the Community, our emails and any business tools. Our health disclaimers and Community Guidelines are part of them.

2.Age requirements

  • 13 or older to create an account. GymGuide isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we'll delete it.
  • 15 or older to join the Community (posting, commenting, reacting and following). We ask for your birth month and year when you join; giving a false age breaks these terms.
  • Members aged 15 to 17 get extra protections automatically — a private profile, no appearance in adults' searches, photos checked by a person, and no posting for a business. See how we keep teens safe.
  • If you're under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.

3.Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One Community profile per person. Don't create accounts to get around a suspension, a block or the age limit.
  • Business owners may manage only the gym or trainer listings they have claimed and are authorised to represent.
  • How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

4.Not medical advice

Plans, coaching answers, nutrition targets and anything members post are general information, not medical, dietary or physical-therapy advice. Exercise carries risk. Read the full health and legal disclaimers.

5.Your content

You own what you post. Your posts, photos, comments and profile stay yours.

So we can run the service, you give GymGuide a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, format (for example resize or crop), display and distribute your content on and through GymGuide — the website, our apps, emails and share previews — to the audience you chose. We may let the providers who operate GymGuide for us process it only for that purpose. We don't sell your content, and we won't use your photos in advertising without asking you first.

The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for a limited time in backups, content other members have already shared within GymGuide in a way you allowed, and anything we must keep by law (see section 11).

When you post, you confirm that:

  • you created it or have the right to share it;
  • anyone recognisable in a photo agreed to be in it — and you never post a photo of someone under 18 other than yourself without their parent's or guardian's permission;
  • it follows the Community Guidelines and the law.

6.What isn't allowed

The Community Guidelines set out what isn't allowed, with examples. In short: no harassment, hate or body shaming; nothing sexual, and nothing at all that sexualises or endangers a minor; no sharing personal information; no steroid or PED promotion; no medical or guaranteed-results claims; no spam, scams or impersonation; and nothing illegal. Don't try to get around our safety systems — for example by scraping, automating accounts, or probing the moderation filters.

7.Moderation and removal

Every post, comment, bio and photo is checked automatically before it appears. Anything the checks aren't sure about — and every promotion and every photo from a member under 18 — waits for a person. Members can report anything they see.

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • hold, hide, remove or refuse content that breaks these terms or the Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe puts someone at risk;
  • hide content automatically while a moderator reviews it when several members report it, or when anyone reports that a child may be at risk;
  • give an account a warning or strike, limit it, suspend it, or close it;
  • keep records of what we removed and why, and report illegal content to the authorities.

We don't check everything before it's posted and we aren't responsible for what members say, but we act on what we find and what you report. If we removed something of yours and you think we got it wrong, contact us and a person will look again.

8.Promotions by gyms and trainers

Gyms and trainers with an approved, claimed listing can post offers. Every promotion is reviewed before it goes live. If you post one:

  • You're responsible for honouring it exactly as described, until its end date, and for its terms. GymGuide isn't a party to any purchase or membership between you and a member.
  • State the important terms and an end date. Don't advertise anything you can't provide.
  • No medical, health or weight-loss claims (“cures”, “lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks”, “guaranteed results”), and no supplements, fat burners, diet products or performance-enhancing drugs.
  • No before-and-after photos, and no "cheapest" or "#1" claims you can't back up.
  • Follow the law that applies to your offer, including consumer-protection and advertising rules.

We can refuse or remove a promotion, or end a business's ability to post them, if these rules aren't met.

10.Suspension and termination

You can stop using GymGuide at any time. We may suspend or close your account, or your access to the Community or business tools, if you break these terms or the Guidelines, repeatedly infringe copyright, put other people at risk, misstate your age, or if the law requires it. Serious breaches — anything that endangers a child, threats of violence, or illegal content — can lead to immediate closure without a warning. Suspensions can be for a set time; a closed account can't be reopened by creating a new one.

11.Deleting your account and data

You can delete any of your posts or comments at any time. To delete your whole account, sign in and use Delete my account (on your dashboard, and in your community profile settings): it shows what will be deleted, asks you to confirm with your email, and deletes the account straight away. If you can't sign in, or the account runs ads or a Spotter phone line, email us from the address on the account and we'll confirm it's you and delete it within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your profile, posts, photos, comments, reactions and follows from GymGuide. Copies may stay in backups for a limited time until they cycle out. We keep only what we need to: records of moderation decisions and reports (without your content where we can), and any material the law requires us to preserve — for example, content we have reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Listings you managed stay on GymGuide as unclaimed listings. Our Privacy Policy lists what happens to each kind of data.

12.Safety contacts

  • In danger right now? Call 911 (or your local emergency number).
  • Struggling or thinking about self-harm? In the US, call or text 988, any time.
  • See something on GymGuide that worries you? Use Report on the post, comment or profile, or email hello@gymguide.ai with “Safety” in the subject.
  • A child being exploited, on GymGuide or anywhere online: report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline as well as to us.

More on how we protect members is on our safety page.

13.Disclaimers and liability

GymGuide is provided “as is” and “as available”. Listings start unverified and may be out of date; members' posts are their own views. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for injuries arising from exercise, from what members post, or from offers businesses make. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

14.Changes and contact

We'll update these terms as GymGuide changes and show the date at the top. If a change materially affects the Community, we'll ask members to accept the new version before posting again. Questions? hello@gymguide.ai or the contact form.
